Baja days 2 and 3

We made it Estero Beach just fine. Had the campground just about to ourselves. On the 2nd we drove on to El Pabellon, about 125 miles. Photo shows the group enjoying happy hour on the beach. This was a 'dry' camp, meaning no hookups, not necessarily no refreshments. On Friday morning we all saw a whale spouting off shore. Made getting up early worth it! On the 3rd, we drove to the Santa Ynez ranch, at Catavina (?). This was also a dry camp but the 'ranch house' serves a nice Mexican plate for $5. Again we were able to get in early enough to rest, have happy hour, and enjoy the area. We came through one of my favorite places, the 'rock cactus garden'. Lots of unusal cactus that we remembered from last year. The cave painting we saw last year are now off limits which is too bad. Guess you have to sign up for a tour etc.
I've included photos of our dinner at the Ranch and one of Mike and Elaine in front of their rig at the Ranch. Well, time is running short and we are going to dinner here at the Malarrimo Hotel and RV/& restaurant. We are following our Baja Winters book which is a big help. We are having a grand time.... moving on tomorrow to San Ignacio, "Rice and Beans". Happy trails......
