Good Guys Car Show at Puy Fairgrounds

We were invaded by car nuts this weekend. HUGE car show and many fans stayed at the fairgrounds rv parks. Here are some of the beauties. I understand there were some 2500 cars on display at the fairgrounds.

Every evening we were delighted to watch the parade of autos drive out of the grounds, right in front of our site. I took these photos right here in the rv park. As you can see, some folks stayed in huge rigs, and some stayed in tents.. but they seemed to have a great time.... lov'in what they do!

Puyallup Rollercoaster Rebuild

We are parked at the fairgrounds in Puyallup WA this July. We have been watching the rollercoaster being rebuilt. Of course I waited too long to start taking photos, but here it is to date. From across the street, it looks like they are using matchsticks to support the track.... but of course that is NOT true! As I am not a fan of riding rollercoasters, I stick to the ground. However, hubby and daughter Lisa are HUGE fans of these monsters, so they have ridden this machine many tmes.

Sunriver/Bend OR part 2

High Desert Museum south of Bend OR, nice indoor museum but also great outdoor exhibits; we spent a couple of hours touring the whole place. They had docents to explain the life on display. We also went to the Lava Lands National Mounument ... we drove to the top of the cone, where the fire lookout is. I took photos and Roger did the walk to the top. Again, we had a beautiful day .

Lots to see and do in this area... and we are going back!

Sunriver TT perserve part 1

2 neighbors from across the road.

Here is our site at Sunriver, lovely tall firs, perfect weather.
Pools (one family, one adults only w/ separate hot tubs.
And canoes and kayak for a river float...couldn't lift my arms the next day!
Lovely large perserve, lots of open area, with mini golf, pickle ball and
basketball courts and kids big play area. We rode bikes and lunched in Sunriver too.

Can't wait to go back.

July in Puyallup WA2009

This is how full time rv-ers get their lawns mowed... by the park attendent! You can see our nice 'yard'. We also replaced our stolen bikes this week. Course we had to get a new bike carrier as well. But we are now ready to give them a good test. We leave Monday 7/6 for Bend, OR, Sunriver Thousand Trails perserve.
