Jerome AZ 5/09

Reason we left Casa Grande for the day!!

We took a trip up to Jerome AZ via Valley Verde and Prescott on May 6. Jerome is an old mining town built at 5000+ altitude north of Phoenix. As Casa Grande was supposed to be in the 100s deg. we thought a day in the mountains would be good. You can see the old hotel ruins, one still being used and other cool bldgs. I also included a photo of our thermometer in CG.. good idea to get out of town!

SMART PEOPLE! That is HOT ! We are packing up this weekend to leave for the North country - temps of course decided to be in the 90s - we are time constricted doe to MH repairs just being completed - but we may get everything done tomorrow whicj would only leave transferring food and cat, then hooking up the Miata. Watching the weather in the middle states tho' - don't need to get caught up in something in Georgia or the Carolinas !!
You guys stay safe and keep cool - till we meet along the highway of life !!
