And canoes and kayak for a river float...couldn't lift my arms the next day!
Lovely large perserve, lots of open area, with mini golf, pickle ball and

Trip to Queen Mary at Long Beach CA

Well, I haven't learned how to 'turn'a photo, so Roger is on 'tilt'... Photos of our trip to the Queen Mary ship which is now a tourist site and hotel. I lost my good sunglasses fending off 'spookies' at the Ghost and Legends show. We walked all over the ship and had a deli lunch outside just like the 'movie stars' did. Beautiful interior and another perfect day.

Happy trails..

Mission San Juan Capistrano..5/09

Our day at San Juan Capistrano was perfect and I took a LOT of photos. The gardens here are just amazing and the big fountains have koi as well as beautiful waterlillies. There were several buses of school kids here. They were all well behaved and having a good time.
Happy trails.

Day at Disneyland Hotel

On May 18th, we met son Jason, Candi, and grandson Max at the Disneyland Hotel where they were staying After a stroll through the Marketplace we spent the afternoon at the pool. The bottom photo has 3 generations of Koehn men! It was a great day and we had a fun visit... in Sunshine..

Jerome AZ 5/09

Reason we left Casa Grande for the day!!

We took a trip up to Jerome AZ via Valley Verde and Prescott on May 6. Jerome is an old mining town built at 5000+ altitude north of Phoenix. As Casa Grande was supposed to be in the 100s deg. we thought a day in the mountains would be good. You can see the old hotel ruins, one still being used and other cool bldgs. I also included a photo of our thermometer in CG.. good idea to get out of town!

Fiesta Grande 4/19/09

The park is empty now except for the yr round residents, very few. These blooming cactus are beautiful, but very few people see them. Maybe I will get some paintings done! Very different park without friends and "snowbirds". Happy trails...
